Piano Instruction

Lessons are designed to meet the specific needs and goals of each student. This includes a balance of theory, sight-reading, ear training and repertoire appropriate to the student's level of proficiency. Please note: your tuition includes ALL core music, as needed each semester.

Preschool Piano

Preschool Piano

Preschool piano lessons are 20-minute lessons for students 3-1/2 to 5 years old who would like a musical experience but aren't quite ready to have weekly at home assignments. Students will learn about rhythm, pitch, intervals, patterns, keyboard geography and building a music vocabulary through off the bench musical activities. After a year of preschool piano lessons, your child will be ready to move on to more formal piano lessons learning pieces on the piano. Quarterly bonus group lessons are included and replace the regular lesson for that week.

Early Childhoor or Special Needs Lessons

Early Childhood or Special Needs Lessons

Early Childhood lessons are for students 4-6 years old or students with special needs that are not ready for lab time. These lessons are 30-minute private lessons. Quarterly bonus group lessons are included and replace the regular lesson for that week.

Private Lessons with Lab Bonus

Private Lessons with Lab Bonus

Private Lessons with Lab are 60 minutes, and are recommended for students age 7 years and up. Private lesson time is 30 minutes with the instructor, plus a bonus of 30 minutes of lab time. Lab will usually take place during another student’s private lesson time. Quarterly bonus group lessons are included and replace the regular lesson for that week.

Rotating Lessons

Rotating Lessons

Rotating Lessons are recommended for students age 6 and up, and follow a lighter course of repertoire. Students will typically receive only a couple of pieces each week. Rotating Lessons are a recreational option, but regular practice is still expected. Students enrolled in this option may not progress as quickly as those enrolled in Private Lessons. Rotating students attend weekly for 60 minutes and rotate through 3 stations. Each student will receive approximately 20 minutes of private time with the instructor, with the rest of the time spent in Music and Keyboard Lab activities. Quarterly bonus group lessons are included and replace the regular lesson for that week.

Requirements: Student must have access at home to an iPad 3 or higher, or an iPad Mini 2 or higher. Each student must also purchase a separate subscription to the Piano Maestro app.

Online Lessons

Online Lessons

Online Lessons are held remotely via Skype or Facetime, and are available to those who do not reside locally. Three bonus lessons are included each semester.

Adult Lessons

Adult Lessons

It’s never too late to play the piano. Whether you are Learning to play the piano now as an adult or brushing up on your previous skills, playing the piano will bring you and your family much joy! Students enrolled in the bi-weekly option may not progress as quickly as those enrolled in the weekly option.

Group Lessons

Group Lessons

Most of the course offerings listed above include group lessons, which are held several times each year. Group lessons are a great way for students to interact with each other, learn and grow, and have fun! Group lessons cover music-related topics that broaden students' horizons, and provide context and color to the material covered in weekly lessons.
